Jan Becher is the Head of German Tax Product within BNY’s Global Tax Product Team for Asset Servicing. In this role, he is primarily responsible for German withholding tax, the German FASTER Reporting (MiKaDiv) and the German Investment Tax Act.

Jan Becher has 30 years’ experience in taxation in Germany and in 2003, Jan was appointed as a Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater).

He also holds a degree in taxation from a German government university of applied sciences (Diplom-Finanzwirt FH).

Prior to joining BNY, Jan Becher worked as a tax manager for a German private bank, a German Multi Family Office, a German Real Estate asset manager and as a tax auditor for the German tax authorities.
